The Great Food Blogger Cookie Swap Round Up!

Apparently all of my cookie swap matches are amazing and NOT procrastinators since I received my last 2 boxes of goodies today!  (Today was actually the deadline for the cookie swap and I made it to the post office at about 3PM!)  Here’s a recap of the delicious baked goods I have received– this was SO much fun and I can’t wait for my matches to get what I sent them.  Not only do I have 3 dozen cookies to eat, I’ve also discovered 6 new unique vegan blogs that I am looking forward to connecting with!  I also LOVE getting things in the mail that don’t require a payment of some sorts!

Cookie #1: Tanya’s Biscoff No-Bakes

These were the first batch of cookies to arrive on my doorstep!  They came from Tanya of VeganFaith.com all the way from North Carolina.  Not only do we have the vegan connection, we also have a philanthropic connection and have both traveled to Africa.  I am so happy Julie + Lindsay, the organizers of the swap have matched us up and looking forward to following Tanya’s adventures in food, Africa, and everything else!

Want to make some deliciously chocolatey no-bakes of your own?  You can find the recipe here.  I didn’t even know what Biscoff was until I got these treats :)

Cookie #2: Marly’s Confetti Cookies

Who doesn’t love anything with sprinkles in it?!

The next batch of cookies were adorable minis cut in the shape of flowers and adorned with multi-colored sprinkles from Marly of Namely Marly.  It came in the cutest striped box which I love from Missouri!  Here’s her post about the cookie swap– the recipe will follow on Dec 12th, which is the deadline for us bloggers to submit URLs to their cookie recipes for the swap.  (Yes, this is a highly organized and well thought out Secret Santa :)

I love that Marly’s family is vegan and her love for names!  Her bio is probably one of the most unique ones I have ever come across– you can read for yourself here.  Namely Marly touches on topics from food to life to names and gives wonderful insight on the question, “What’s in a name?”

Cookie #3: Jody’s Cranberry Almond Cookies

These last batch of cookies are actually somewhat of a mystery still!  I know they came from Jody, but not sure from where because my brother opened up this package and threw out the box (although the card mentions it’s from the East Coast).  But I do know she was very thoughtful and added a recipe card with the package with two versions of the recipe– one low fat and one regular.  She opted to send the low-fat version since I am about to get 2 dozen other cookies– good call!  Jody will be sending more info later since this is was a Secret Santa.  I look forward to trying out this recipe and learning more about the lady behind these yummy low fat cookies!  The card she sent with the package was also very cute :)

Update: Jody is from Pixie & Dusty Eat!  She specializes in making unhealthy things healthy (and tasty– just look at these Surprise Cookies), I can’t wait to try out some of her recipes, starting with the baked ziti- YUM!

I can’t stop eating cookies…and I can’t wait for next year’s swap!

{Thank you Jody, Tanya, + Marly for feeding me!}

Thank you to Lindsay of Love & Olive Oil and Julie of The Little Kitchen for bringing the food blogging community together and spreading some Christmas cheer and sugar this holiday season!
